Year 1: Digital Photograph |
Composition:
The color, distance, and point of view really lead your eyes through the picture and complete the picture as a whole. Technical Aspects: The lighting was coming from the side of her face causing half of her face to be dark and the other half of her to glow. The red phone and the blue shirt work well together. Artistic Qualities: The shapes are repeated with her curly hair and the curly cord of the phone and the photo also looks mysterious. |
Composition: The texture and leading lines make the picture very interesting and the color of the flowers make the photo pop. Technical Aspects: The lighting in the room while this photo was taken was natural and the focus of the peachish toned rose was very sharp while the pink flower wasn't too focused but wasn't blurred either. Artistic Qualities: The picture looks happy, almost harmless. The petals look soft to touch. |
Composition:
The lines and repetition of the wall lead your eyes through the picture and down the hallway. There is a lot of depth within the photo. Technical Aspects: The way the camera was, the picture ended up being very centered, almost as if symmetrical making the picture more interesting to look at. Artistic Qualities: The gloominess of the picture makes it look mysterious and creepy. |
Composition:
This picture is also very symmetrical looking. The pattern of the window and repetition of the stairs and railing blend the picture nicely. There's a lot to look at in the photo. Technical Aspects: The lighting of the big window pulls the picture together. Artistic Qualities: When I look at this picture, I feel like I'm walking up the stairs to look out the large window. |
Composition:
This photo is very strong because the textures go well together and the picture is also very simple, not too overwhelming. Technical Aspects: The photos and colors contrast well, and since the colors go well together (my eye and the leaves), I'm not sure this picture would be best for black ands white. Artistic Qualities: The picture has a lot of meaning, it feels deep but I'm not sure what makes it so deep or what the meaning really is. |
Composition: Though the flower was beautiful in color being a hot pinkish color, the black and white gives it more of a sense of feel. Technical Aspects: The exposure of the picture would be too unexposed if it didn't have the nice pop of white in the center. Artistic Qualities: When looking at the picture, the petals look soft to touch. |
Compositional Elements:
This flower has so many layers and is a gorgeous red color that gives it a sense of smoothness. Technical Aspects: The photo isn't too bright and its not too dark. The IOS of this photo was 800 because it was a little bit shady and the white balance was cloudy. Artistic Qualities: The photo has a sense of contentment. |
Compositional Elements:
The pops of green in the photo really bring the picture together as a whole, if they weren't there the photo would be too overexposed with pink. Technical Aspects: The IOS was at 400 because it was bright outside but it wasn't that sunny. The white balance was on sunny. Artistic Qualities: The petals on the flower make the flower look crinkly and crispy but in actuality the petals were soft. |
Compositional Elements:
There is so much to look at in this photo and the circle in the mirror really leads your eyes through the picture. Technical Aspects: The IOS was on 800 because it was quite gloomy and dark. The white balance was on fluorescent. I used a mirror for reflection. Artistic Qualities: |
