Line and Shape |
The sunset in my backyard
I stood on my back porch and took it from an angle to create depth within the photo
I was very far away but the darkened trees made the sunset pop
My point of view was in between straight and from the side
This one was horizontal
i didn't because I didn't want it to be too centered
I felt the picture of the sun off the water was the picture that most leads the viewers eye through the work because you first see the bottom of the picture which is the water closest to my point of view and it leads you up with the line in the center created by the sun gleaming off the water and then you see the actual sun.

Pattern and Texture
My best picture was the centered staircase. The distance of the shot was pretty close up but it still has depth. My point of view was at the bottom of the stairs, crouching down in the middle of the stairs. This photo was horizontal. Yes, it does follow the rule of thirds because the pole is centered and the railings are evenly displayed. This photo is an example of pattern, rhythm, and texture because the window is patterned with the boxes, the rhythm is shown is the stairs and the poles of the railing, and the texture is shown in the centered pole because when I look at it, its almost like you can feel with your eyes how smooth the pole is. Maybe the flower or the middle staircase picture is overexposed because when you look at it the flower just pops out with all the white and thats the main focus of the picture, but also the picture of the window because when you look at it, the first thing you see is the window but theres a lot of darkness around it. The photo thats underexposed is the side view of the staircase. The window is much smaller and the space around it is much darker. There aren't too many grays in this photo. The best example of a properly exposed picture is most likely the photo of the bench or the hallway because there is an even display of white, gray, and black. All of those colors go through the entire photo evenly.
