Studio Portaits
The photo I chose was the photo of the girl with the phone and the point of view is from the front and she's looking down. The fourth picture. The lighting was coming from the side of the model causing half of her face to be dark and causing her hair to glow. The shadows created make it so that her eyes aren't visible and only parts of her face are. The photo is from straight in front of her, it was mostly a headshot but also included her shoulders. The model is facing the camera but looking down. I took the photo horizontal. The photo was shot from straight ahead. I wasn't too far or too close to the model I was a reasonable distance from her. The lighting, position, and expression on the face expresses a sad, gloomy mood. This photo shows that she is serious and maybe even a little sad. To compare, the second photo has more of a happy look to it, she's looks brighter.
Self Portraits
The photo I chose was the picture of me looking down with my hair in my hair. I used a self timer to create this photo and I set the IOS to 400 and the white balance to cloudy. The location was in the art gallery at my school around noon time so it was a very bright, natural light. I feel like my scarf really makes the picture pop because my hair kind of matches the background of the photos. I considered the IOS, the white balance and the depth of field to create this photo and make it perfect. I decided to take more natural pictures of myself just doing different poses. I thought that the natural lighting was very useful and the colors of the photo are what made them successful. These photos are self portraits and not selfies because they're just off me. They're just straight forward pictures, no different angles to make me look different or anything.
Double Exposure
I picked self portraits and other pictures from nature and painting with light.
